The Lacquer Specialty drums still go through he same process and as any of the DW drums. First the shells are picked accordingly through the timber matching process, then they're stained and sprayed with some
of the most beautiful finishes. From Fades to bursts and everything in between. This is where you can let your imagination rum wild and pick a finish that best describes your personality. Some of the finishes in this series are: Ebony Stain Lacquer, Classic Sunburst, Blood red Sparkle to Black Burst and Pearlescent White just to name a few. All

Satin oil finishes offer rainbow of acoustically-safe, low gloss finish choices that enhance the classic DW drum sound and appearance.Once the DW collectors series drums have been hand selected and sanded for a smooth surface and to enhance the grain,
these vintage-style, hand rubber, matte finishes are applied to the shells using the finest materials and methods that not only add color and depth, but also fully seal and protect the wood. One of the most popular finishes is our Satin Oil Cherry to black Fade w/Gold also Ebony Satin Oil with either chrome or black hardware. Naural Satin Oil in either Balck or Chrome hardware.
